How to Start an Internet Business

Wanting to work from home with an internet business is a great goal. Many companies operating today started with that same dream and found success. Some by trial and error and others due to planning and knowing how to start an internet business. In theory, there is no difference in starting an internet business than in starting any other type of business.

There is an old saying that goes if you fail to plan, you are planning to fail and that is true when starting a business. Having enough cash to last while you get the business up and running to pay the bills is one of the primary things that you need to consider. Not just for the business, as unless you maintain another source of income while starting a new one, you will also need living expenses.

A website will be the crux of your internet business and you can either build one yourself or pay someone to put together a quality site for you. It may not need to be earth-shattering with all the bells and whistles some sites are saturated with, but it does need to present a level of professionalism to agree with the presentation of the business you are offering.

If you are offering retail sales, then a secure shopping cart will be necessary and will need to be integrated into your website. Customers who cannot find a simple way to pay for purchases will simply become visitors.

Getting people to your site will be your next consideration because the phrase build it and they will come only applied to the baseball field in the movie. It will not work in business. Unless you are prepared with a large budget for advertising and marketing, you will have to look at alternative methods of letting the world know you are in business and ready to help them.

Marketing on a shoestring can be done, but you will need to be prepared to do a lot of things on your own.

By working from home you can usually establish your own hours and your own dress code, however a professional appearance will be mandated during the times you meet with customers or prospective clients. You will also have to have the motivation to get up and work from home even on those days you really do not feel like it, just as though you were working for someone else in their office. You have to show up in order to get your work done.If you are thinking of working from home, and you still have a full-time job, before walking away from it you may want to work from home on a part-time schedule to learn what it is going to take to solicit work and get it done on time once you get the contract. Depending on the type of work you do, if it involves having clients visit your home office, you will also have to consider the cost of liability insurance to protect …

Satellite Internet Services – Fast Internet

Satellite Internet Reaches Virtually Everywhere

In less than a decade, broadband has gone from an extravagance to a must for many of us. With the extensive availability of satellite Internet services in the country, residential customers and commercial enterprises can benefit from fast connections which would require no more dialing in and no more delays. Satellite Internet services offer customers a significant upgrade from dial-up. But not all forms of high speed Internet are easily accessible, not if you’re in a rural location. DSL and cable modem providers require much infrastructure to reach homes or small offices in regions not hitherto connected.

In the case of two-way satellite services, customers won’t be facing such problems. At present satellite Internet services from major providers are available all over the continental United States in rural and urban locations. The place where the customer resides should offer a clear view of the southern sky. Obstacles such as mountains or trees could cause a disturbance or reduction in speed, but this is generally thought to affect only around 5-10% of customers.

5 Ways to Get a Dead Spy Pen to Work

If you have a Spy Pen, sometimes it just appears to be either stuck with the light on, or dead and won’t turn on. We wrote this report to show you some of the tricks we found to getting your it to work again.

1. Perform A Hard Reset

The majority of the time, just inserting the end of a paper clip in the opening below the status light on the back, and performing a hard reset, will get your Spy Pen working. Just bend a small paper clip end out, and insert straight into the opening. When you meet resistance, push lightly, and you can feel the reset button depressed.

Make sure it goes straight in, and not at an angle, or you could damage some of the components inside. Let go and try to turn it on.

2. Rule Out The USB Cable

If you are using a USB cable to either connect the Spy Pen to your computer, or to the 110V wall charger adapter, one day the cable will fail. If you use the USB cable because you can’t connect the pen directly to the computer, try just plugging it directly into the computer.

Don’t use a USB hub, as sometimes there is not enough power for the it; just connect it directly to the computers USB port. On some computers, use the USB port on the back, as front USB ports are sometimes weaker.

3. Rule Out The 110V Wall Charger

Just like the USB cable, the 110V wall charger adapter will also fail at some point; so if it does not seem to take a charge, try charging it for 3 hours in the computers USB port. If the status light is on while its charging, its getting electricity to charge the battery.

4. Put The Spy Pen Back In Video Mode

Several Spy Pens have switches to go to photo mode, or voice activation mode. If you move the switch to change modes, and you do not move it back to video mode, the computer will say it is not recognized. Try moving the switch back to the original position.

5. Erase & Reformat The Spy Pen

If the Spy Pen shows up as a removable drive on your PC, just right click on the icon and let go on “Format.” Then check the “Quick Format” button, then hit OK. The drive will be erased, and reformatted. This usually takes care of any pens that make it this far.

On an Apple computer, use Disc Utility to erase the drive and format as MS DOS 32. Then eject properly; on a Mac, right click on the drive and select eject. On a PC, click on the green Left arrow down at the lower right part of the monitor, then click on eject to properly eject the device.

Why the Right Domain Name Matters

Wondering whether or not it really matters what domain name you choose for your website? We’re here to satisfy your curiosity about that, and to assure you that the right domain name does, indeed, matter a great deal.

There are plenty of reasons to take care in choosing an outstanding domain name. One of the most important reasons is that the search engines display your complete page URL prominently in the search engine results pages (SERPs), and your domain name is a critical part of the URL. If web searchers see that your domain name closely matches their intended search, it is likely to motivate them to click on your URL and visit your website as a result.

Let’s check out an example of this. If you’ve just moved to the Los Angeles area and you need to locate a dentist, perhaps you would go online to search for one. You might enter “Los Angeles Dentist” into the search engine’s search bar, and then you would see the first SERP offering 10 different choices. Which one are you likeliest to click on?

If you’re like most web searchers, you will naturally choose over other similar choices like, or Obviously, has the greatest likelihood of offering you exactly what you’re looking for. Since you’re in LA, you can rule out because the dentist who owns that site is probably located further away than you’d like. You can eliminate because you’re looking for a dentist, not a dentistry school. You can also eliminate unless you’re specifically looking for an orthodontist.

In this example, the most relevant choice was the exact match domain. “Exact match domain” is a term that refers to the domain name being an exact match for the query the web searcher entered into his search bar. While it’s uncertain whether an exact match domain offers search engine optimization benefits, there’s no denying that an exact match domain can influence users’ clickthroughs.

It’s possible that an exact match domain does also offer a certain edge when the search engine ‘bots algorithmically determine where in the SERPs to display your URL. It really depends on the intent of the user’s search, and the current status of the search engine algorithms.

In the case of the search query “Los Angeles Dentist,” the likeliest intent is that the searcher would be interested in finding information about any dentist located in Los Angeles. The search engine would be likely to give priority to over choices like However, there is a no specific reason for a search engine to give priority to in the SERPs over other choices like, and the search engine is likely to not give it any special treatment when evaluating it along with other equally relevant possibilities.

However, if it can be determined that the user intends to search for a specific website by name, the search engine is likely to give it special priority. Let’s take, for example, …
