Why Success is a Science

My studies of the highly successful prove that they continually achieve their results by doing "certain things in a certain way." I have also found that "like causes produce like effects." Therefore, if you and I consistently employ the same thought processes and actions of these highly-successful individuals, we must produce the same results. This is why success is an absolute science. If you apply the principles (thoughts and actions) of peak performers, you will accelerate your sales and life results far beyond your current level of achievement. Put it to the test.

In his best-selling book, Psychocybernetics , Dr. Maxwell Maltz talks about our daily actions being the direct result of our habits. Since your actions are the cause of your results, it is fair to assume that your habits are what absolutely create the results you obtain. Habits are the things you and I do naturally and automatically, without thinking. These habits have been conditioned at a very early age and are now collected in our unconscious mind. According to Maltz, if you want to change your results, you must begin to form new habits. In other words, you must change the things you do automatically.

Your current thinking regarding your abilities, your product and your industry is habitual – and we call that programming. This programming is buried in your unconscious mind, and it drives your behavior on a daily basis.

These programs, or mindset, came from outside sources and we often accept them without question. Many times our mindset contains lack and limitation because a parent, teacher, coach, or another person person we desired wanted to protect us from disappointment. They told us to "be realistic," "do not expect too much," "life is hard" and many other disempowering beliefs. The moment you accept their programs, they drive your behavior and often limit your results. Following are the first steps in building the habits of a top sales performer. Habits that will drive massive action and create incredible results!

  1. Set a clear and measurable goal. Make it one that you are excited about accomplishing. The human spirit will not invest itself in mediocrity – so if you want to succeed in exceeding limiting habits, your goal must create passion! As you set your goal, two things are important: it must be specific and measurable. Write "I am making $ 70,000" versus "I want to make more money." When your goal is measurable you will know exactly when it is accomplished.
  2. Write your goal in the present tense. This will cause you to fully associate to the achievement of your goal. Your unconscious mind is totally deductive, and therefore, it accepts anything that your conscious mind gives it without question. Consequently, correct phrasing is imperative. Write your goal as "I am so happy that I earn a minimum of $ 70,000 per year" versus "I want to earn $ 70,000 per year." Write your goal as if you already have it right now.
  3. Write your goal every single

Dual Computer Monitors

Dual monitors are used in computers to expand a computer’s display. One of the reasons the use of dual monitors is gaining popularity is because the prices of monitors have been on the decline, making it far cheaper to use two inexpensive monitors rather than go in for a large-sized monitor, which is bound to be hugely expensive.

All of Microsoft’s and Apple’s operating system versions released these days support the use of dual monitors. Using dual monitors, the user is able to ‘extend’ the display on one desktop onto the second display device. This means that when the different display devices are positioned next to each other, it provides the user with the illusion of being logically contiguous.

Depending on one’s luck, setting up dual monitors can be as simple as adding an extra video card and monitor and restarting the computer or turn out to be a task that makes the user want to pull out great tufts of hair in sheer frustration.

The first thing that will have to be done is the installation of a second video card, the one that is meant to support the extra monitor. This requires the computer’s motherboard to have an extra expansion slot, the availability of which can be determined by opening up the tower and checking. If available, the extra video card will have to be manually inserted into the slot. The monitor will then have to be plugged into this video card, and the computer should be restarted.

Depending on the card, drivers may or may not have to be manually installed by the user, since Windows has built-in drivers that support certain video cards. Once the drivers have been installed, there are settings that have to be adjusted to enable display on the second monitor. This is done in the Display Properties window, under the Settings tab.

There are a variety of dual monitor cards available on the market, with prices usually starting at around $100. Dual monitor users swear by the fact that once a person uses a dual monitor system; they will never revert back to a single monitor, no matter what the case.…

SEO – Application Tips for Yahoo

So you want to apply to Yahoo. Assuming you are not already listed in the index your first step is to find the category page that best suits your site. At the very bottom of this category page will be a small "Suggest a Site" link. Click on it to get to the site submission page. If there is no "Suggest a Site" link, then the page you are on does not allow listings to be added to it, most likely because it is a general general top-level page. Keep searching until you find your right niche category! When searching for your niche category, try to find one that reduces your chances of being buried alive by other site listings. This usually means a very specific category and the more specific you are, the more precisely Yahoo will be when it comes to listing your site.

Follow Yahoo's instructions or else! If you try to sneak around their rules they will ban you. Do not try to break the rules by doing things like using numbers, too much gratuitous promotional language or brand names in your descriptions. This is one situation where too much SEO in your copy can really hurt you.

This may seem odd, especially in a business that seems to be all about promoting yourself but Yahoo will frown on any title and description that reads like promotional ad copy. What Yahoo wants is a descriptive title and description without any hype (and this includes phrases such as' the best real estate agent in town "and" unrivaled service ".

Also you improve your chances of acceptance if you can keep your meta tag description to about 15-20 words. You might as well edit it down now before Yahoo does it for you!

As Yahoo lists its sites alphabetically, it might also benefit you to choose a name that is among the first five or six letters in the alphabet. If you can come up with a suitable title for your site that starts with A, B or C then make sure you use it as it will rank you higher in the Yahoo search engine pages! …

What Has Your Website Done for You?

Ever since I started building websites for businesses, personalities and other organizations, my first question to the new client is "What do you want your website to do for you?"

The most common response is a 50,000 foot overview of "growing" their business or raising awareness of a interest.

Several hundreds of thousands of businesses, both small and large have already embroidered online advertising, providing them with a new means to receiving orders as well as attracting new customers and offering existing ones access to valuable information about their services.

Moreover, a well-designed and properlymarked web site can give you the potential to reach not only your local market, but international markets and indeed the world market. The possibilities for increased turnover and business growth are there before fabulous!

Recent data reports show that with 100,000+ prospective clients going online each month there are now well over 1 billion potential customers around the world to whom your products or ideas can be offered. In addition, there are more disabled people using the Internet through advanced technology such as screen reading software, etc – it's estimated that this section of the global community accounts for approx 10% of all traffic.

Most of your competitors will already have web sites, but are they effective?

The old adage "Build it, and they will come" no longer applies to businesses who simply launch a website and sit back to expect the orders to come rolling in. The internet is a volatile marketplace, each website seeking to climb the Google ladder to get their website listed at the top, in the hopes that visitors will come to their website and buy their products or visit their store.

Today's internet marketplace simply is not that simple – because even if a website gets to the top of the search engine's listing, it still does not mean that they're guaranteed a click from the visitor's ever scanning and easily distracted eyes. Companies have dumped buckets of money into Search Engine Optimization programs, and have abandoned hope due to the lack or ROI (Return on Investment).

OK, let's say they DO click on your listing …

It's time for your website to come up. According to reports from the propeller-heads who count things like statistics and web traffic, the average visitor will give your website just 3 full seconds to capture their attention before deciding whether to hit that "BACK" button or investigate further. Sadly, it's often less than that, but I am being generous here.

If the website is outdated, or is ladened a myriad of design issues and nothing to offer the visitor except a page full of wordy descriptions and reflecting about how good the company is, then your chances of capturing anything more than a back-click is almost nil. No, it's less than nil, but again, I'm being generous.

What's really Important?

The importance of an interactive, engaging and purposeful website can not be overlooked or taken for granted. It is my personal opinion …

Practical Tips for GEO-Targeting SEO

Research indicates that customers found that those campaigns optimized with GEO-targeting results in mind are more successful than the SEO point of view.

SEO, the acronym of Search Engine Optimization, is the process and techniques that generate quality web traffic from search engines. Web traffic, in natural, has no physical boundary. A gift or an auction website may get visitors from Boston, London, Paris or Hong Kong. Visitors around the world not only use different languages, but also have different tastes for layout, navigation and styles. Along the general web design and SEO principles that have proven to work well in bringing search traffic, a few tips for GEO-targeting SEO will increase the chance of success for businesses that promote their businesses online across regions of different culture background.

1. GEO-targeting Design

Websites targeting multiple GEO regions may have a few versions of the site. And each version targets one particular language. For the same version, the page may be configured according to the location automatically. It's a common practice to use IP address to identify the geo region of a visitor. For design of each version, make sure to work closely with the designers who really know about that market. The design of the website should suit the style and taste of the local users. A website targeting US market has much better chance of success if a Boston web design company is involved, rather than a web design firm from India. Geo-targeting depends on the user's settings. As an example, an English web site may display different versions according to the user's location, whether Canada, Australia or the United Kingdom, since Geo-targeting identifies the user's keyword settings, language, and location.

2. GEO-targeting Promotion

All major search engines serve the search results based on both what users are looking for (the quires) and where they come from (location). In fact, major search engines Google, Yahoo Search !, and Microsoft's Live search all have a different version of the main search engine for either major language or a country. A searcher from UK will see the different search results from a searcher from Australia even though they use the same search engine and search for the same term. Search engines rank pages according to what kind of links a site is pointed and where the links are from. If a website site gets most of links from UK, the site will rank well when UK users look for information in a search engine. If you're not located in the GEO market you target, work with a local SEO firm is productive and rewarding. A Boston internet marketing company that really knows about Boston SEO will do a lot better job for acquiring links from either US sites or Boston local websites.

3. GEO-targeting Analysis

GEO-targeting SEO does not end at SEO-targeting promotion. To fully understand visitor behaviors of each GEO market, try using geographic Meta data for accurate results.
Several Boston Internet marketing companies have used web analytic software and …

Secure Your Internet and Wi-Fi

I have touched on this in past articles. Now there are Smart speakers with Alexa, Siri and Google built in I thought I would give you some suggestions on how you can protect and secure yourself.

It is important to recognize that all your smart appliances must go through some type of router before getting to your device. The router will then allow you to connect either through hard wire or Wi-Fi. Hard wire would be faster and more secure; however, Wi-Fi is easier and found in more devices. In either case make sure that your router has a strong password that you created. Make sure that you have the highest-level security for your Wi-Fi such as WPA / WPA2. Also, if your router is more than 5 years old you should consider replacing it with a new modern router. This will ensure that you are using the latest hardware and software security.

Smart speakers are appearing in homes everywhere, they were the highest selling in Amazon this past Christmas season. They are good at playing your favorite music and getting better all the time at following your commands. They can control your alarm system and lock and unlock your front door. Before you allow Alexa, Siri or Google to unlock your front door, ask yourself how secure are them. Can they differentiate your voice form the voice of a stranger? What if you left your house and a stranger came to your front door and said "Unlock the Door" would it unlock? Voice recognition is getting better every day, so test your device before trusting it.

Are smart TV's tracking what you watch? The answer is yes, they can. I have written another article that explains how they do this and more important how you can stop it.

Do you have cameras inside your house? Many of us do. Ask yourself are they secure and how do I prevent them from being taken over by some smart actor. That could put you into a very embarrassing situation.

It is important to carefully investigate every new smart device that you purchase to determine how it works and what data it collects about you. Then secure that device within your home network. If you are not sure about a particular device disconnect it from your home network. Remember, most every device that you have in your home has to go through your router, secure it! …

SEO is Internet Marketing's Gold Rush

Search Engine Optimization is a lot like the Gold Rush of 1848. Those willing to take on the risk and expense early on found enough gold to finance larger mining operations and were the big winners, while latecomers oftentimes were left behind.

When gold was discovered in California, prospects could easily recover it from the river beds, sifting through the gravel with rudimentary equipment.

As word of the discovery spread worldwide, thousands of Forty-Niners made the expensive and long trek to California. Within just a few years, simple techniques, like panning, had recovered the most easily found gold, and much more time-consuming and expensive efforts were needed to unearth additional gold.

As in the beginning days of the Gold Rush, those who were early comers to Search Engine Optimization have been reaping the rewards for some time. They benefited from a much simpler process of optimization, and several years later are still probably performing fairly well.

But for those just joining the party, SEO has become more complicated, largely because of the large number of "prospectors" seeking similar site positioning. The search engines have made it more difficult for sites to earn a prized first-page position, requiring significantly more effort and skill.

How difficult it is depends entirely on where you decide to prospect. If, like the old Forty-Niners, you head right where everyone else is prospecting by picking the most competitive keywords, you'll face significant competition against early starters. To earn your position for these types of terms, you'll need significant effort and investment to catch up. Niche terms will be easier to target and probably require a less costly, standard SEO program.

The one big difference between SEO and the Gold Rush is that the folks who failed to find gold or who never made the journey still were able to earn livelihoods as farmers, tradesmen or shopkeepers. But the Internet has completely changed the way companies market themselves, and those who ignore SEO do so at their own peril. …

An Announcement of Our Love

I am so excited. After many years of searching, I finally found the love of my life. Soon, I will be marrying my fiancee Karen. I never thought in a million years that I would find the woman of my dreams. I had been through some bad relationships in the past. It left me cynical about actually finding true love. When I met Karen, that all changed for me. We have been dating for five years. I finally decided to propose to her and she agreed to be my wife. We needed custom wedding invitations online to send to our loved ones.

Before I met Karen, my love live was in complete shambles. I used to search online dating sights high and low for the perfect woman. Just when I thought I found the perfect one, they turned out to be complete nightmares. The women I met either had bad habits, had too much baggage, or were crazier than a soup sandwich. For a while, I wanted to give up on love. I was totally at the end of my rope. My mother told me that I was looking to hard for love.…
