Free Internet Traffic Source – List Builder

Posted on Posted in internet

Getting another list builder to be a free internet traffic source means doing some work to find a good fit. You must offer something felt to be of equal or higher value in exchange. You'll use the easiest way to find your best fit.

If your lists are of similar size and quality that value might be as simple as introducing each other. Network! Be creative.

In fact, the secret to success in a joint venture is to look for ways to deliver more in value than your free Internet traffic source feels they give you. You must find a good fit. You must create a mutually beneficial joint venture.

Do the work you need to do to find the right list builder in your topic. Do what you need to do to reach a level of respect, like and trust. Find out their biggest challenge and what you can do to help them get one step closer to solving that challenge.

You must find someone able to help the people on your lists, too. Ideally, your joint venture partner is not a direct head-on competitor. That way you feel safe and may create a permanent free Internet traffic source.

What's the easiest way?

You get email from lots of people in your niche, do not you? Look in your email. What names are in your inbox, your sent box, special file folders, even your trash?

Write names. Write how you feel. Write help you've gotten.

You're making a list of your favorite list builders. That's the best place to start networking. You want someone you really feel is a comfortable fit, and here you've already started relationships.

Circle people you feel give highest value. Circle authentically helpful, genuine people with integrity. Circle someone you'd be happy to introduce in person to anyone on any of your lists for a one-time trial.

Your Bonus! You're learning from each list builder on that list, right? Well … you're probably teaching that way, too. As in, you've got people on your list learning from you.

That's your bonus today. Use what you learned and double your benefit. Set up a joint venture with a subscriber or buyer who is a list builder. Look through your lists. Write down names of people you've had good conversations with and have come to respect, like and trust. You'll choose a list builder as a free Internet traffic source for a one-time trial.

What next? Individual requests to these people you know like and trust!

1. Reply back to your short list of list builders
2. Email your short list of subscribers and buyers

What do you say? Point out why you like, respect and trust them. Ask them to introduce you to their list and offer what you found they need most. Getting in front of the right audience is like investing in gold for your business. You get a targeted internet traffic source. When you do so as a mutually successful joint venture, you …

Linked Lists – What They Are and How to Use Them

Posted on Posted in programming

Most, if not all, programmers have at least heard of a linked list. If you have not then you are about to. In this article I will be outlining what exactly a linked list is, the advantages of using one, and I will try to do this in the simplest terms that I can.

So, lets get to the point. When you are programming, it is a very common occurrence that you want to keep track of a list or set of data. The easiest way to do this is with an array. Whether it is a single dimensional, or more gridlike 2-3 dimensional array, it will typically suite your needs just fine.

But, what do you do when you have an array of say, a million items. Naturally this is going to take up quite a bit of memory. Still, an array will probably do the job just fine. So now lets look at Object Oriented Programming (OOP). Maybe you want to create an array of Objects, each with a fair number of variables. This memory adds up quite fast. And to make things worse, an array of memory is all contiguous; the memory is all in one solid chunk.

A way around this solid chunk of memory is, yes you guessed it, a linked list. The beauty of a linked list is that it does not have to have contiguous memory. The different objects, typically called nodes, each contain a link variable. This link points to the next item in the list, where it may be in memory. Think about it kind of like a puzzle. You typically would not store a puzzle completely built because those "contiguous pieces" are bulky and hard to store; and if you wanted just one you've got to take them all. So instead, you break the puzzle apart, because you know each piece link to the next one piece. This way you can work with just the piece you want and still keep track of the rest.

Another great advantage to linked lists is that they are customized to exactly what you want. A linked list is not typically something included in a programming language, it is something that you build yourself. This may be a bit bit more difficult than using an array, or even an arrayList, but it proves itself in power.

If anyone has any questions about Linked Lists, feel free to ask on the forum. Either I will help you personally or someone else will. …

Getting Your Blog to Rank Highly In Search Engines

Posted on Posted in internet, website

There is little point in writing a blog if no one comes to read it. Blogs are automatically search engine friendly because of their fresh content and clean formatting, but there are a few easy techniques you can use to improve your rankings.

A few words about keywords:

1. Choose your Keywords wisely.

You can choose to write on a topic, or for a key word or phrase, that is immensely popular and has a ton of competition, and never stand a chance of getting in the top page or two of rankings. Or you can choose similar but more targeted keyword or phrase with less competition be in the top 10 listings.

2. Key Word or Phrase? That is the next question.

Most people do not use a single word for a search engine query. The often search a phrase or even type an entire question. This is not necessarily the most efficient way to search, but it is the most natural. So do not think you need to limit yourself to single key word. A key phrase of three – five words is entirely appropriate.

3. Choose your URL wisely.

Once you have chosen your keyword, it is time to choose your URL wisely. Whether your blog is hosted by your blogging software, on your own domain or subdomain. You want your primary keyword to be in your domain name (URL).

4. Keyword Placement

Besides having your primary key word in your URL, you also want it to appear the header tags and titles of your posts.

5. Keyword usage in the body of your post

When writing each post you of course want to use your primary keyword (s) in the text, but do not over do it or you'll sound like spam. Always write in a natural, reader friendly manner. This is also the place put a few secondary keywords as well.

6. Keywords in Links

Keywords that appear in links are more important than those in plain text. So where appropriate, when linking to another blog or website, use your keywords in the text of links.

7. Keyword Categories

Another natural place to put your keywords in your Category names.

Keywords are not the only thing search engines consider when ranking your blog. Here are few other areas to consider:

Links

Links that point to your blog and posts are very important to building pagerank.

1. Search Engines and Directories

Being listed in search engines and directories provide great single direction links. So make sure you submit your blog, first of all to dmoz.org. This is end all, be all to internet directories and is a place that most search engines pull from to find websites to spider. After than submit directly to the major search engines, that way they know you exist. Finally, submit to the blog search engines and various free directories.

Here is a well-rated list of Blog Directories by Robin Good.

Frequently Asked Questions by Power Bank Users

Posted on Posted in gadget

What is the best power bank?

This is the most basic question that one would ask when purchasing something. This is very normal considering that it is money that people invest in when buying not just power banks but everything.

On the quest to find the most outstanding mobile charger there is, the answer does not really have to be very technical. It is all about being practical. It is true that there are archetype power banks that boast of high-end specifications. However, at the end of the day, it will always redound to how useful those specs are going to be to the user.

Say for example, getting a water-proof and shock-proof mobile power chargers that is ideal for outdoor use might be too much for a young professional who always stays in the city in the same way that a chic, light-weight, and very portable charger with limited power capacity is not enough for someone who frequent the outdoors.

How does it work?

To put it simply, these portable chargers are basically just batteries that have been added with circuits and casing in order for them to charge the batteries of other devices. The much earlier power banks tend to have weaker batteries. However, with the coming of li-ion and li-polymer batteries, mobile chargers now have bigger power capacities.

Are they safe to use?

Of course, other than making sure that these batteries, circuits, and cables can do the trick, these mobile chargers were designed to function safely. Added safety nets are the various certifications that some power banks have that attest to their quality. These quality control measures do not just ensure that these gadgets are safe to use for devices but also vouches that the power bank will not accidentally self-destruct.

What purpose does a power bank serve?

The main reason why these portable chargers were made is to give people back-up power to charge their phones and other devices whenever electricity is not available. With more and more people owning and depending on their gadgets for their work, business, leisure, and connectivity, it is no wonder why these power banks have become very necessary.

Basically, this gadget is intended to be used personally as an emergency power source, however, given its importance, it has also become a very popular choice for custom promo products. This means that customized phone chargers are mass produced and are given by companies to their clients, employees, and even partners.…

Your First Website Design – What You Need to Know

Posted on Posted in internet, website

Congratulations! You've made the decision to launch an Internet business: now you need a website design, so where to begin? First time Internet business operators focus should be on a super basic design that will function properly and build on the design as their business grows instead of starting with a complicated design that costs a fortune. If you were introducing a new product line in your store would you start with a 1,000 products or 100 to see if customers will buy them?

It's the same with website design. The most important component in website design for selling is that you must provide a way for people to use their checks and credit cards securely. The amount of products you are selling will determine what type of payment processor system your website needs. If you are selling 1-100 products you do not need a merchant credit card system; it's better to start with PayPal or Money Bookers.

The most common technique people use to introduce their products or services for sale is by offering a gift to their visitors. This requires your website to be built with the components that will allow a person can download the report or have it sent to them by e-mail.

In the first case your website design for your Internet business must be structured with a section dedicated to secure download; This is usually done via a password system. In the second case an auto responder can be used in conjunction with an HTML form where the person enters their name and e-mail address when they click the submit button for auto-responder automatically send them the report.
So let's look at the components that would be included in this basic site:

1. a homepage with buyer information content, a report download link or auto-responder form

2. a company information page tells your visitors who you are, where you company is located and how to contact you – by phone and by e-mail

3. a product page that fully describes your offering

4. a product order page that includes information about customer support, how the buyer can request a refund or return the product if they are not satisfied

5. a page that describes how the visitor's personal information will be used and the terms and conditions of using your website

Your website should be designed to load within 5 seconds. The background should be easy on the eyes and the size of the text should be large enough so that it can be easily read. The amount of images you use on your website should be limited to those that are related to the product you are offering.

The navigation bar and report request form should be in the same page location. The title, keyword and description meta tags of each of your pages should be related to the content of the specific page for the search engines. There should be at least 500 words of content on each page and a link …

Create Computer Games – Get Started on Creating Your Own Virtual Worlds

Posted on Posted in computer, internet, programming, technology

I’ve always loved video games, ever since I first played them on a friend’s computer in the afternoon after elementary school. There’s something almost magical about the fact that we can move images around and interact with virtual worlds, a living fantasy presented for us to interact with however we please. I’ve also always wanted to make games myself but, until recently, didn’t have the technical knowledge to do so. Now, I’m a second year software engineering student, so if I weren’t able to code a game without too many dramas there’d be something drastically wrong. But what about the common person: the person for whom the term ‘memory leak’ conjures up images of their grandfather, ‘pipeline’ is where the water flows, and ‘blitting’ is unheard of? Well, everyone can get in on the game creation process, and you don’t even need to learn ‘real’ programming to do so.

So where do games start? With an idea. Games, like all fiction, require an idea to be successful. Sure, in the same way you can just sit down and write a story without foresight, you can jump on in and slap a game together. However, unless you get ridiculously lucky, the best works are usually the ones that have been well thought out beforehand.

There are two methods of planning a project. You can start from a known technological standpoint and build your project on top of that or you can just go for the design, add as many features and ideas as you like, and then remove the ones that you can’t use when you’ve decided on the technology you’re going to implement the game with. In general, the second type is probably the best one to go with when designing games. When you’re first starting out however, the first option will save you many headaches.

So, for a first game you’re going to want a pretty simple idea. Don’t get me wrong, crazy-go-nuts game ideas are fantastic, and there should be more of them out there, but you’re not going to be able to create a real world simulator with fifty billion virtual people all interacting real time with your actions having a butterfly effect on the future of the virtual universe when it’s just your first game. Really. Many people try it; none that I know of have succeeded. Imitation is the best way to start out. Simple games such as ‘Space Invaders’, ‘Tetris’, ‘Pacman’ or even ‘Pong’ are great places to start. All are largely simple to create but have some inherent challenges. ‘Pacman’ for example, requires path finding for the ghosts. I recommend that you start even simpler than that for your very first attempt. ‘Space Invaders’ is a nice point to jump in. You can make a simple, complete game without much effort and it’s almost infinitely extensible.

If you’re stuck for an idea, pick a genre that you enjoy. Do you love adventure games such as ‘Monkey Island’, ‘Grim Fandango’, ‘Space Quest’, ‘King’s Quest’ …

The Technology is Out There

Posted on Posted in gadget, internet, technology

Advances in technology occur continuously, this is particularly true of the vastly competitive and high value world of mobile telecommunications. New mobile phone handsets hit the shelves on a daily daily basis and each is a slight (or sometimes major) improvement on its predecessor. In the past phone giants such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Blackberry and Apple have gone head to head to develop the most intuitive operating systems, create the most user friendly QWERTY keyboard and integrate touch screen technology to the greatest effect. More recently the focus has been on offering higher resolution cameras, speeding up internet connectivity and offering the most desirable range of apps, these are however by no means the sole aims of manufacturers: all of these small battles are ongoing and developments occur and are integrated into new handsets constantly.

Just because the latest handsets in the UK do not offer certain features however does not mean that they do not exist. A cursory glance at the technology on offer in China and Japan for instance shows that despite the late slightly improved incarnation of the iPhone may be at the cutting edge on our shores, it is by no means the most 'techie' model currently in production. Rather than importing certain handsets and encountering the high unit cost and absence of technical support that comes with it however, we can look to overseas markets and make some pretty solid judgments about what technology could be introducing the UK market over the next year, based on what already exists on the other side of the globe.

One of the most exciting and potentially groundbreaking pieces of technology found in a great number of Japanese phones is the FeliCa chip, handsets featuring this minuscule piece of hardware are referred to as 'Wallet Phones' as this chip allows the handset to perform cashless, instant financial transactions. Compatible with train station ticket machines, vending machines and payment terminals at numerous stores in Japan, the phone owner can pay for goods and services instantly with their phone. Astoundingly this technology first came into use 2004 but has still not been established in the UK, this may be about to change given the recent introduction of Barclaycard contactless technology which operates in a similar manner to the FeliCa chip. Mobile phone network provider Orange have also teamed up with Barclaycard in this venture and filed to develop a handset which fulfills this function in the near future.

Although less likely to bring about a major cultural change than wallet phone technology, gadget enthusiasts and traveling businessmen alike will be excited at the prospect of mobile phones which incorporated projectors. Already in its third generation in the Far East, internal projector technology could revolutionize the way in which business presentations are made and videos are shown on the move. With some handsets capable to project high resolution visuals up to 8 feet tall already on sale in Asia, it is only a matter of time before European distributors start pushing …
