In order to make your computer faster, you need to check wherever there is sufficient space in the hard disk drive. You need to verify that there is at least 200-500MB of free hard disk space in order to allow your machine to have room for the swap file and increase n size and to make room for the temporary files. If the hard drive is corrupted or fragmented, you need to run Scan-disk or anything equivalent in order to help in ensuring that there is nothing physically wrong with the hard disk drive of your machine. Another thing that you need to do to speed up your PC is to look for background programs. You need to disable or remove completely any program or TSRs that start automatically every time your PC boots. If you want to find out what programs are running in the background, their CPU usage or how much memory they are consuming, you need to open the Task Manager. In case you are running Windows 7, you may be required to run Resmon to establish the programs that are taking up a lot of space.

Moreover, you need to verify that the Device Manager is completely out of conflict.
