If reports are to be believed, many users had earlier spotted the ‘APK Download’ options on the website’s ‘News’ section, though it was found to be not working.

AP Police Scientific Assistant Recruitment 2020: The Andhra Pradesh State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) on Monday released the admit card for the AP Police Scientific Assistant Recruitment 2020 on the official website. Candidates who have applied for the Scientific Assistant post can download their admit cards from the website – slprb.ap.gov.in.

The AP Police exam will be held on December 6. The exam is being conducted for recruitment in the post of Scientific Assistant in Forensic Science Laboratory (Physical, Chemistry, and Biology/Serology).

A total of 9,207 applications were received out of which 1605 were for Scientific Assistant Physical, Scientific Assistant Chemistry, and Scientific Assistant Biology/Serology posts.

SpaceX’s public beta test of its Starlink satellite internet is giving some users download speeds of more than 160 megabits per second (Mbps) — faster than 95% of US connections, according to speed test provider Ookla.
One Starlink customer in rural Montana said their download speed was 174 Mbps. “Starlink will forever change the game,” they said.
SpaceX said in an October 26 email to beta test subscribers that they should expect speeds between 50 and 150 Mbps, with intermittent outages.
Most user speeds fall in that range, according to a list compiled by the Starlink Reddit community.

GitHub takes down YouTube video download tools after an RIAA notice

You won’t find the source code for YouTube-DL, a popular tool that can be used to download videos from YouTube, and for some of its forks and copies on GitHub anymore. When you visit their pages, you’ll find a notice that says the “[r]epository [is] unavailable due to DMCA takedown” instead. That’s because the Microsoft-owned code hosting platform took them all down after getting a legal request from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Verizon is touting yet another 5G speed improvement.

Verizon is continuing to improve the 5G speed of its millimeter-wave network, with the company touting today that it has reached a new peak of 5.06 gigabits per second in download speeds. In theory, a connection that fast would let you download an entire season of a TV show, in HD, in seconds. The new accomplishment, which was done together with Ericsson and Qualcomm, comes one week after Verizon boasted 4Gbps download speeds over millimeter-wave during Apple’s iPhone 12 launch.

Unlike the 4Gbps result, which the carrier says can be found in certain cities today, the new peak download speed came in a “lab environment” using Qualcomm’s upcoming X60 5G modem. Verizon says that the speeds were attained using carrier aggregation that combined its millimeter-wave signal and a 4G LTE anchor, a pairing of wireless spectrum that the company says
