NEW YORK, Nov. 11, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Global X ETFs, the New York-based provider of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), today announced the launch of the Global X Emerging Markets Internet & E-commerce ETF (EWEB). The fund is a furtherance of Global X’s funds offering targeted access to powerful disruptive trends around the world.
In 2018, 74% of global growth was attributable to emerging market economies, driven in large part by a rapidly growing middle class of internet-connected consumers.1 These rising digital consumers are forming new consumption patterns, driving the growth of emerging market e-commerce platforms. In 2019, for example, Amazon celebrated that over $7 billion worth of goods were sold through its platform on Prime Day, a testament to consumer’s adoption of e-commerce in developed markets.2 But in China, this number was dwarfed by Alibaba’s 2019 estimated sales totaling $38.4 billion recorded on the nation’s Single’s Day.3
T-Mobile US, Inc. TMUS has announced the expansion of its Home Internet pilot service to more than 130 additional cities and towns across nine states. These are Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
The Bellevue, WA-based wireless operator has been expanding its Home Internet pilot extensively this year while preparing to launch 5G Home Internet service in 2021. Last month, the company expanded its home broadband pilot to more than 20 million households in parts of 450 cities and towns. It intends to bring more competition to home broadband, especially in underserved rural markets.
The COVID-19 pandemic has emphasized the importance of broadband connectivity. T-Mobile is providing high-speed Internet access to rural areas, which still have slow and limited options, so that they get an equal opportunity to thrive in the digital world.
Available at $50 per month, the Home Internet service
Tesla owners have complained in recent years of touchscreen failures and other issues seemingly related to the failure of memory chips that store vehicle data. In emails to customers obtained by CNBC, Tesla said it would repair touchscreens that are currently experiencing issues and offer refunds for repairs already made.
The vehicles affected were made from late 2012 to early 2018, prior to Tesla redesigning the main computer system in its vehicles. Due to the cars’ high-tech design and reliance on the touchscreen as a user interface, a failure of the screen can
T-Mobile is expanding its 4G LTE-based home internet service, the carrier announced on Monday, bringing the offering to over “130 additional cities and towns across nine states.”
The $50-per-month offering, which is already available in parts of 450 cities and towns around the country, includes taxes and fees in its price, as well as unlimited data with “no data caps.” T-Mobile says there are no annual contracts for its service or hardware rental costs for a modem, with the equipment also designed to be self-installed.

Amazon said on Monday it had opened three more logistics centers in Brazil to take advantage of the boost the Covid-19 pandemic has given to e-commerce in South America’s largest economy.
The new units are already operating in the states of Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Sul and the capital city of Brasilia.
